If you’re anything like my family right now, you’re struggling to maintain a brave face while growing increasingly weary, enduring the constant drip of dismal news flooding the airways.

Life in the connected world has made it so that everywhere we turn, there is another bit of troubling news. Yes, apparently Tom Hanks got the plague from Wilson (Who else was on that island with him?!).

Our yearly pilgrimage to Provence will most likely be canceled. To my knowledge, Trump has no immediate plans to build a golf course near Marseille, so flights won’t be resuming any time soon. I must apologize in advance to all the pastis distillers, cafe owners, and especially the ownership of Bistrot du Paradou, who will certainly bear the brunt of this reality. I single them out because I love their restaurant so much that I seriously considered setting up a homestead in their parking lot just to be closer.

We are all about to face a lot of time tucked away in our homes, away from large crowds. To avoid going completely crazy during a possible quarantine, start cooking with your family. For some, that might be worse than running out of Purell right now. Make use of online ordering methods for buying food.
