The Mighty Eggplant, a Throwback to My NYT Days

The eggplant stands alone — I still believe it as much as when I wrote this New York Times piece in 2013. Back then, I said if I were asked the desert-island question, I’d take eggplant before any meat.

Fast forward to a few nights ago, when I made Pasta alla Norma, which has led to a spirited conversation on over on my Facebook page (where you’ll also find the link to the recipe).
